Because drain hose runs through the bottom of a wall and up to a standpipe, I believe a siphon break kit would help with intermittent draining issue. "Took quick pics, customer had uninstalled unit due to it filling the house with electrical smoke. Took cabinet off and found transformer had arched and the windings were charred and there is a strong electrical odor coming from it. Took pictures of it in the unit and then took transformer out so I could inspect further damage, found discoloration on capacitor and magnetron. Checked loads with ohm meter and found magnetron shows 0.1 ohms and the capacitor readings are inconsistent with tech sheet found cabinet thermostat is closed and reading 0.2ohms. Filter fuse is open. Blower fan readings are correct according to tech sheet. Magnetron thermostat is closed. Wave guides look to be in good condition. Called techline and spoke with Daniel (case# 22209791) sent him pictures of transformer and wave guides. He documented everything and advised we replace all high voltage components but told me to speak with safety team before proceeding with repairs. Called saftey and spoke with Robin she said we have to go with Techlines recommendation and they want to proceed with repair. I did let her know due to the nature of the issue customer no longer feels safe having this unit in her house and would like a replacement. Referred customer to call customer service. Gave her case number and information to call them."
