"Took quick pics, found unit running in a safety loop. Found control has 1-1 internal board error and 3-1 pressure sensor error. Cleared codes and as soon as I turned knob it started safety loop again. When that finished I checked pressure hose for kinks or blockages and it is open and clear. I put into diagnostic cycle and it ran that and finished, immediately when it was done got stuck back into safety loop And repeats the 1-1 and 3-1 codes. Installed control ran diagnostic cycle. Belt is slipping making a squeaking noise. Installed new belt. Unit checks ok. ; used 1 W11239857 (Belt) from stock"

Recommended cleaning refrigerator with 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 quart of water and to turn off power to refrigerator and leave doors open. Also suggested to leave a box of baking soda in the refrigerator to help absorb smell. File number 7741955044 Nathan from tech line said that hes heard but not tried to use newspaper to try to absorb some of the smell or to try and place a bowl of vinegar in the freezer until its frozen and refrigerator section. Nothing smelling like refrigerant leak and leak detector was only going off on insulation which confirmed by tech line is normal. UV light rated for non goggle use didnt indicate any leaks either. No staining or painting was done before any of this which would migrate into refrigerators and dryers. Homeowners going to try some of the non evasive solutions before trying to wipe down unit and leave open for a couple days. Thanks!

Removed emitter and receiver boards and swapped out with ice maker module. Tech line said it was the boards but I suspect it was only the ice maker. Either way I let homeowner know that if ice maker module doesnt fix it then well have to re-install and charge for the receiver and emitter boards in addition to what was collected for original diagnoses. $659.78 minus $150 (service fee already paid). $509.78 would be owed to also replace emitter and receiver boards if only module doesnt work. Told homeowner to check and see in the morning to know whether its working. Thank you! Usually we cant return control parts but are making an exception because we had this in stock so we dont need to send back to manufacturer. Everything should be working as designed.

Pulled off evaporator cover and found ice ball at inlet of evaporator indicating a leak in the sealed system. Needs to get a new refrigerator because repairs would cost more than a new refrigerator. Recommended getting a Whirlpool branded appliance because I know you can get an extended warranty for up to 5 years from D&G Appliance Insurance. Every brand these days dont last as long as the one they have now. Office will charge card $150.00 service fee and send receipt via email.
