"Took quick pics, found a burning odor coming from drum when unit is heating. Unplugged unit and took front panel off and removed drum. Found bottom of unit covered in lint and lint in the flame tunnel. Cleared out all debris by hand at first and then vacuumed out the rest. Took exhaust duct off back of dryer and emptied out what was in the duct tube. I advised customer to clean the lint screen as well due to having a small bit of built up on screen. Put everything back together and ran on high on timed dry and after about 5-10 minutes opened the door and the burning smell is no longer present. Called safety team and spoke with Lucretia and she documented findings under SR# 7739636126. Since no parts replaced customer only responsible for labor of $129.99 and will contact the office to complete payment. Unit checks ok."

"Advised customer last visit nothing can be done about smell or odors coming from dryer. Unit was completely disassembled in last visit to show customer that there is nothing a dryer can do to make foul odors come from dryer. Called trade care and spoke with Rita. Rita advised no authorization will be covered for 2nd use and care trip , customer is responsible for payment . File number 7739540618. Called tech line and spoke with Jonathan . Jonathan advised that a dryer in no way shape or form can cause customers clothes to smell the way customer describes . Customer describes various odors . No burning or oxidation in unit. "Took quick pics, found unit rocks more than it should and customer states it makes a loud noise in spin, found the rotor bolt on the floor and units back left leg was out on the cabinet on the floor. Put leg back in cabinet and replaced rotor screw with more loc tite. Found the front of the cabinet welds have separated and one of the feet has cracked in half would need cabinet and door for repair gave cust est of $796.94 customer calling whirlpool to see about an authorization for repair. Had office run cc for $150 and email receipt"

Unplugged and resistance checked the thermistor and for 74 degrees we should be around 50Komhs and it is 6.2 Mohms which is out of range, gave cust est of $406.35, customer declined and will call us back if he wants repaired.
