"Took quick pics down unit would randomly shut off and show a power failure. Found the pantry board working properly with 12 DC volts to board. Took freezer compartment apart and found evaporator in evaporator cover covered in ice. Checked thermistor read out on the P5 connector on the main high-voltage board in the back found freezer compartment, showing around 9K homes in the refrigerator compartment showing approximately 4K ohms which is out of range checked power to thermistor from board found 1.5 DC volts which is in range. Cleared all ice from freezer evaporator and noticed that there was also a build up on the ff evap too. Defrosted both compartments went to test six and checked heater to freezer compartment evaporator found that it does come on and has 120 V to it. Also went to test 56 and there are no stored error codes for the icemaker went to test 57 and cycled icemaker. Icemaker went through complete harvest cycle and passed test. Found there is a DC drop out from the fan motor harnesses in both compartments. Its very odd that both compartments have frost on them will need stealth you are. I am both compartment evaporator, harnesses for repair. Gave customer est of $1,063.73 customer agreed and paid half $531.86 today and will owe $531.87 on completion. Did let customer know labor is covered for 30 days and parts are covered for one year from installation date. "Took quick pics, and temps of the RC it was 39 and Fz was 11. Next I put unit into diagnostics found the FC max temp 75 and min temp at -11. Called techline and spoke with Bruce. He went through job history and parts already replaced. He had me check fz compartment thermistor and I told him it was at 6 ohms and he said thats a little high. Let it sit in an ice bath then check again. If thermistor is in range to replace both board in the door. Let thermistor sit in ice bath and it settled at 7.89 ohms which is in range, need controls for repair. Unit climbed 450 via UI and probe. Unit working perfectly ok. All checks made with customer present. Advised customer if unit fails again control would be at fault for failure. Gave customer a bluebook estimate for repair at $940.13. Unit working as designed at this time

"Took quick pics, found unit not getting rid of lint properly and now not heating. Customer states they have run several loads and there is barely any lint, turned unit on and took filter out, held a dryer sheet over the filter slot and it didnt move, took the hose connected to hard tube from exhaust and found now a bunch of lint flew out and the dryer sheet sucks in. Checked hose and found some lint but not a lot. Put hose back on and ran dryer sheet vent test again and same result, it doesnt suck in At all I had customer take me to outside of the house where flap is, and found there is a solid sheet of lint across cage, took cage off of wall and cleaned screen and channel to screen. Put flap back on wall. Went back inside and hooked hose back up, now the dryer sheet sucks into the vent like it should showing we have good air flow. Unit wont heat in any cycle. Found the heater is closed showing 9.7 ohms but exhaust thermostat is open. Installed new. Unit checks ok; used 1 WP3387134 (Tstat) from stock"

Customer decided to not continue with repair on defrost parts considering unit most likely has leak. Previous visit collected trip charge of 150.00 told customer they did not owe anything more since no parts were installed. Customer understands and said they will be going to buy a new one since more issues were found with unit and the cost would be too great to consider repair.
