Problem appeared to occur because screw that hold Splutch started to come loose and moved Splutch wheel down causing belt to come in contact with cover and floor. Unit will need new Splutch, belt and gearcase for repair. Called safety team. Cleared cold water line and replaced Valve (W11038689) and shifter (W10913953). Calibrated and tested unit observing for leaks and proper functions. At this time, all operations ok with no leaks detected. I recommended customer install hose screens on inlet hoses, to help prevent clogging in the future. Customer complaint is unit makes screeching noise when in use. Ran unit through diagnostics. No error codes found. Ran unit through diagnostics cycle. Unit making slight squeaking screeching noise. Found units spanner nut to tub and gear case loose and could take it off by hand. Tightened down spanner nut and made sure it was secure. Cycled unit through drain and spin again. Took quick pics found unit is in an enclosed porch and not temperature regulated. Customer states unit started working all on its own after not cooling found it to be about 62 degrees in the room when I got there and fz is 17 degrees and ff is 34 degrees. checked voltage to compressor and compressor windings found both check good against tech sheet. Found thermistors showing correct resistance for the temperature in both compartments. Customer did state it got down to 8 degrees the other night in here when they started having the issue. I did explain to customer that the ambient temperature is causing the thermal on compressor to close too soon due to it being too cold. I did show the customer in the manual where manufacturer states unit should ideally be kept between 60f and 90f degrees for cooling functions to work properly. Spoke with Rob 7740556305
