Case number 23459221. Says either we have a bad door heater from fill tube being frozen or filter caused fill tube to freeze. Let homeowner know to wait a week to see how it goes. Replaced bin thermistor that was causing ice machine to not operate. Gave more instructions and answered questions homeowner had about use and care also while I was there. Everythings performing as designed again. Recommended calling Whirlpool to get warranty updated to correct date after getting receipt from place of purchase. Recommended getting an extended warranty on any Whirlpool family appliances through Domestic & General Appliance Insurance website to offset costs of future repairs.

"29.72 ohms heater , .27 cut outs, thermistors 3.7 and 3.8. Used ohms calculator to test if heater is in spec and it is. While steaming freezer I tested heater power at board and board was powering heater. Noticed drain was clogged while steaming frost and ice and that may be only cause of issue as the ice box fan was making noise from ice build up. Removed drain from machine compartment and unclogged drain. Should just be the clogged drain but may be control board issue. Had refrigerator unplugged for 10 minutes to hard reset in case if it is a board glitch it may correct itself by resetting hardware on board. Told homeowner that Jerry will send bill."

Gave instructions on how to use Affresh ice machine cleaner by poring whole bottle of Affresh cleaner into reservoir and filling up bottle and pouring into reservoir until water starts overflowing out of reservoir.
