Found unit has about 3-4 times given float error 8-4 water in float tray fault. Every other time unit has resumed working this time it did not. Soapy water in float at arrival. Emptied float. Did not observe a leak while testing but top left side of gasket curled in towards tub and inner door has streak marks from a leak down the edge of door. No evidence of over sudsing seen. Will order gasket. L14; ordrng 1 W11483553 (Gasket)

Also found unit had ducts bill grommet on drain extension and it was fused shut. Cut v into extension cleared all ice from drain pan, extension and fz floor. Cust paid for TC and labor of $254.99 via cc office ran. Emailed receipt"

Derek was great-communicated and followed through on date/time of service, updating me the day of so I knew when he would arrive; he explained the issue clearly and came up with a couple of solutions since Amana chooses not to deal with the issue. I have no complaints about ASI or Derek.
My complaint is there is a simple solution for this issue-we have a whole house filter however it’s not enough for this washer. The filter on the back of the washer for sediment is tiny-enlarge the filter or add an inline filter on the cold faucet OR reprogram the computer so instead of a timed fill (the water filling is taking too long for the ‘smart’ machine) the computer identifies when the water is at the correct level no matter how long it takes. These machines are too expensive not to work properly.
