"Took quick pics, found unit still heats and functions other than the drum doesnt move, started cycle and tried to spin drum by hand and found resistance. Unplugged and took unit apart. Found the belt was broken and a wear mark on the idler pulley. Gave cust est of $459.43 for dryer repair kit. Customer agreed and paid in full by check. Installed new dryer kit with belt, idler pulley and roller wheels. Cleaned out blower housing as well. Unit checks ok"

"21979198 LiamTook quick pics, found unit made too much ice and bin is over flowing. Ran unit through diagnostics. All functions check good in diag. Checked bin temp and its at 31-32 degrees. Checked bin thermistor and it is at 4.1kohms. Called techline spoke with Liam and he said at 32 it should be 8k. Put ice and water in a bowl and let thermistor sit in it a few minutes and rechecked bowl water temp and its 32 degrees. Found thermistor still showing 4.5kohms and wont go any higher. Thermistor out of range gave customer est of $420.87 customer agreed. Installed new thermistor and let it sit in bin with ice on it with door closed for a few minutes and found new thermistor showing 8.2kohms. Unit checks ok. Had office run cc and email receipt. Unit checks ok ; saved tckt"

"Took quick pics, found unit wont accept selections sometimes and will start itself in the middle of the night. Ran diagnostic test and found start and cancel buttons wont always respond would. Need control for complete repair. Gave customer est of $580.92 customer calling whirlpool for authorization or will buy a new one."

"Took quick pics, found unit stopped mid cycle and wouldnt unlock door. Put into diagnostics and found F5E1 door wont lock code F5E2 door wont unlock code F6E1 no communication between CCU and MCU controls. Cleared codes and tried to run diagnostics cycle and it locked door, and wont do anything else. Unplugged unit and manually opened door. Checked continuity to latch coils at control per tech sheet. Found 0ohms on both coils and they should be between 50-75ohms each. Plugged unit back in and and tried to start regular cycle. Found the ui counts down and door locks but nothing happens. Tech sheet states the F6E1 could be caused by door latch. If we only need door latch estimate for repair is $630.74 and if unit needs latch and CCU estimate for repair would be $966.28. There would be no way to tell if control needs replacement without replacing latch first. Customer has 30 days to decide if they want to repair. Had office run cc for TC of $175 and email receipt."

"Took quick pics, found unit running in a safety loop. Found control has 1-1 internal board error and 3-1 pressure sensor error. Cleared codes and as soon as I turned knob it started safety loop again. When that finished I checked pressure hose for kinks or blockages and it is open and clear. I put into diagnostic cycle and it ran that and finished, immediately when it was done got stuck back into safety loop And repeats the 1-1 and 3-1 codes. Installed new control. Unit checks ok."
